Dental Implants

Dental implants offer a permanent solution for your missing teeth.  Implants have a level of strength and durability that is comparable to that of your own teeth.  In fact, a dental implant is essentially a substitute for a natural root.

Each implant is placed into a carefully drilled socket at the precise location of the missing tooth.  The implant can often be placed at the same time as the removal of the tooth which it replaces.  The main goal during installation of any implant is to achieve immediate close contact with the surrounding bone, providing strength and stability which over time is enhanced by further growth of bone into the microscopic roughness on the implant surface.  The implants bond with the bone of the jaw and act as an anchor on which a replacement tooth can be fixed.

Once implants have been placed, they can be used to support a single tooth crown, a bridge restoration or even secure dentures firmly in place and give you the confidence to smile again.
